For the second night in a row, the WNMU women's basketball (2-15, 1-5) team struggled in the final seconds to drop the contest to the visiting Lady Cardinals of The University of the Incarnate Word (6-14, 3-2), 48-43.
The UIW Lady Cardinals' #32 Erika Pink led all scorers with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Danielle Farriel posted 8 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
Junior Tannesia led the Lady 'Stangs with 13 points and 12 boards. #12 Crystal Smith added eight points.
The Lady Mustangs will be back in action next Saturday to face Oklahoma Panhandle State University in the Brancheaux PE Complex at 5:30 PM.
